2023 Fall Scout-O
October 28-29, 2023
Nobscot Scout Reservation, Sudbury, MA
All Scouts and other youth groups are invited to two days of adventure where they will learn and practice map and compass skills, with the option to work on orienteering related badge requirements.
Saturday's program will be skill development and practice. Scouts (and adults) will be able to learn orienteering skills such that they will be able to participate in Sunday's competition regardless of prior experience. Ample orienteering courses will be available for scouts to practice their orienteering skills. Saturday's "Night-O" will give scouts an exciting variation on the usual (daylight) orienteering.
Sunday's program will be the annual New England Scout Orienteering Championship competition. Scouts (as well as adults) will compete for trophies with other scouts of same gender and same rank or age level.
This event is organized by the all-volunteer, non-profit New England Orienteering Club (NEOC) to introduce youth to map and compass skills and the sport of Orienteering.
