New England Orienteering Club
Annual General Members Meeting & Picnic
June 26, 2016 - Houghton's Pond, Milton MA
Held in conjunction with O-meet
Everyone is invited to orienteer and picnic. NEOC members can elect half of the club's Board of Directors.
Check the schedule listing for June 26, where details will be posted about the Score-O, picnic/barbeque, and meeting, including time and what to bring. It's a great chance to relax after orienteering, enjoy good food and company.
The election will fill five positions on the Board of Directors. At this time there are only four candidates for those positions. If you or someone you know would consider serving on the board contact Jim Paschetto, head of the 2016 Nominating Committee.
Nine American university students are representing the US at the World University Orienteering Championship in Hungary this summer. (View the roster.)
To help offset the cost, we're selling magnets to put on your cars showing your support of USA orienteering (size is 8" x 3").
Since they're magnets, you can put them on or remove them as you want. You can use them here in MA, and bring them to put on a rental car whenever you travel for orienteering. We're selling them for $10 each. If you're interested, please contact me, Isabel Bryant.

At the biannual US Ski-Orienteering Championship held the weekend of March 10-12 in Presque Isle, Maine, NEOC scored more points than any other club and brought home the coveted Perm Cup for the first time. Led by Tom Jahn in M80 and NEOC founder Hans Bengtsson in M70, the Trolls edged CSU and other powerhouse teams on a weekend when the snow was fast and sugary in northern Maine but everywhere else in New England was bare.
Congratulations to the top-ranked trail orienteers who will represent the U.S. at this year's World Trail Orienteering Championships (WTOC). The WTOC will take place in Sweden from August 22-28, 2016.
