Comments:
This event is the third of the 2017 Greater Boston Youth Orienteering Series with activities and courses for youth (ages 3-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13+) and their families. The youth activities will be led by coaches and start with age-appropriate games aimed at teaching map reading skills and navigation through unfamiliar terrain. After the games, youth participants will have the option to try an orienteering course with family, friends or more experienced youth can complete them individually. A coach will also be available to assist beginning adult orienteers and will have set training courses for experienced orienteers. To participate in all youth coaching activities, please arrive before 2 pm. This youth outreach initiative is a joint project of NEOC, CSU, and Navigation Games.
