Improving your orienteering - Getting off the trails
If you've been orienteering with us for a little while, now, you're probably getting used to the map. You can take your navigational skills to the next level by moving from Yellow courses to Orange (and above) courses. These courses typically take you off the trails and start you navigating through the forest to controls which are well off the beaten track. Tim Booth, a former British coach, will be offering help with this on Saturday (June 4) at the Hammond Pond meet. He'll be running sessions at 10:30am and 11:15am - please meet by the Registration tables. If you have any advance questions or requests, please contact Tim.
Directions:
Parking will be on the car park West of the Chesnut Hill Shopping Center. Exit Boylston Street (Route 9) onto Hammond Pond Parkway, and then take the first exit to the right. GPS coordinates are: 42°19'21.0"N 71°10'21.5"W
