Come start the orienteering season with NEOC at Hammond Pond in Newton, MA! See the location on Google Maps.
The event will feature a "Merry-Go-Score" Score-O, which adds a few twists to a traditional score-O. There will be five score courses, each with a 12-15 minute winning time. Competitors must return to a spectator control and exchange maps between courses. A competitor may advance to the next course at any time, but may not return to earlier courses. There will be a one-hour time limit, with stiff overtime penalties.
Competitors may interval start the Merry-Go-Score-O at any time during the start window, but there will be a mass-start at 11:30 for adrenaline junkies looking for some extra excitement.
