Comments:
Comments. You can do any or all of the four courses; the sprints are suitable for orange runners and above. But this event is also the Sprint Championships of Western Mass, which will work as follows. There are two divisions: blue and green. Blue runners will first do the short sprint and the long sprint (in either order), finishing before 12:30. Then they will do the final sprint as a chase, with start times based on the combined total from the other two sprints. Total distance for the three sprints is 8.4 k. Green runners will do the long sprint, finishing before 12:30, and then do the final sprint as a chase. Total distance for both sprints is 6.2k. Red runners can move up or down. The four winners – blue male and female, green male and female – will be crowned the sprint champions of Western Mass.

Warning: Cemetery Hill is also known as “the dog park” because it is an area where dogs are allowed to run off leash. Although dogs are supposed to be under the control of their masters, it is possible that a dog will run up to you, or follow you for a bit. If this would be disturbing to you, you should skip this event.
