A cold and windy Sunday did not stop 23 hardy and adventurous outdoor folk from looking for rags in the woods (controls). The weather was probably the toughest for those of us hanging out at the registration booth and not being on the move with the benefit of the woodland windbreaks. I, for one, stood around for 5 hours mostly with my winter jacket and gloves on. This park , overgrown with catbriar and mountain laurel, was a good challenge for the beginning of the spring o-ring season. All participants returned safely and enjoyed themselves. The only glitch in the day was one orange control whose location was questionable. Half of those who attempted it found it and half didn't. I might have been mistaken and one of these days, I should go back and vet it again. Thanks to Paul Pearson, Donna Klucewicz, and Kevin Burnham for helping out.
